For me, the biggest takeaway from the Cambridge summer school was not just the deeper academic insights but also the experience of completing a group project and the boost in confidence for each of us. In class, we engaged in active discussions; after class, we explored ideas together. These invaluable experiences have become a significant and unforgettable part of my life’s journey.
The professors at Cambridge captivated me with their unique charisma and engaging teaching styles. Their classrooms were dynamic and interactive, built on the philosophy that "interaction is king." They understood that the transmission of knowledge is not merely a one-way infusion but rather a process of intellectual collision and stimulation. Through group discussions, real-time Q&A, and various interactive methods, they ensured that every student became the protagonist of the class rather than a passive listener. One of the most memorable moments was when a professor used the exchange of letters between Romeo and Juliet as an analogy to explain blockchain concepts. This vivid storytelling helped us grasp key features such as decentralization, distributed ledgers, and encryption, making an abstract topic much more accessible.

Cambridge is a small city with stunning natural scenery, such as Castle Mound, and unforgettable cultural landmarks, such as the Fitzwilliam Museum and Cambridge Market. Places like The Eagle and Jack’s Gelato, which embody the ‘flavour’ of Cambridge, reflect the passion of its people for life. The activity that left the deepest impression on me was punting. It allowed me to see Cambridge from a unique perspective - watching people lying on the grass, others enjoying drinks on boats - it all conveyed a deep sense of relaxation.
During the two weeks, the Fellow Advisors hosted activities, shared British food and music culture, and the most memorable part was dancing in the mushmore room ...... In communicating with them, I could feel their understanding of study and life. During the class period, they listen carefully and prepare for the exams; during the holiday period, they enjoy themselves and feel the holiday. In this regard, I think it is very worthwhile for me to learn.
Embrace a new way of thinking
"Participating in this programme not only gave me academic inspiration and knowledge, but also taught me a lot about how to study, think differently and deliver presentations.
These experiences changed my perspective on projects and how to work on presentations. I believe that this knowledge, along with the academic knowledge I gained, will be very useful in my future studies or career."
